Nope. Not your daddy's car.

In an attempt at full disclosure, I feel I must say a little something about the cars that were driven on this here "road trip." They are not the type of cars you are going to take to pick up carpool or to a drive in or to the grocery store or anywhere with the family or-let's be honest-on a long trip. They wont hold your luggage, your golf clubs, your big gulp, or a car seat. But that's just the point..these cars weren't intended for those things. These cars were made to DRIVE. And driving is what these guys are all about.

Day 2: Half Moon Bay to Cambria (222 miles)

Look closely..One of these things is not like the other...the car that looks like a minivan is actually Jordan's 4-door sports car-intentionally brought along as a "mule" to pack all of the golf clubs and luggage from all 6 couples.

Being the "pack mule" car was not so bad at first. I could handle the constant rattle of all of the golf clubs. It was after the boys all golfed in the rain the first day at Half Moon Bay and then packed their clubs (and golf shoes), still wet, into the back of the car that it got ugly. By the end of the trip, the mildew/dirty rag smell was enough to make you gag. And yet, we weren't in our own car often enough to complain. Everyday was a constant game of "musical car/driver." Now those are true friends!
