Cliff Jumping

I know, I know. You don't need to tell me the story about the people you know or have heard of that have been maimed or killed participating in this crazy pastime. But every year a spot that is deep enough and just high enough is found where those brave (or stupid) enough can get their adrenaline fix. Mine comes just from watching.

There are always a few that doubt their confidence and ability and need the fear of being PUSHED to motivate them right off the cliff.

Although I have pictures of almost everyone jumping, I loved this one of Erick because he seem so in touch with his natural surroundings. See how he blends with the desert and cliffs behind him?

He always has been a nature lover.

Water Works

We (using that very loosely) did a little of everything. Zac slalomed (among other things)
He also did a backbend while riding the tube with Shiloh and Erick.
Can you believe how beautiful this place is??
Niece Tasha and her friend Tiffany braved Jordan's taunts to let him take them on the tube. After Jordan had whipped them around pretty good, he stopped and Tiffany shouted: "is that all you've got??!" At that moment, I got scared for her.
Emi and Maddie tried the wake skate. See the bare feet?

Hailee and Britt the wake board. They're still working on using that wake board to actually go OUT of the wake.
Brittney is determined.
Sam. Wake skate. Sam's wife Maurice said that if their kids are as crazy as him, she wont know what to do with herself.
This is my honey. He still has it, folks. (As long as he can make crazy faces.)
Again. Sam. Wake board.
There was a lot of complaining about sore muscles (especially from the over 40 crowd), a black eye, and life vest rashes, but I am happy to report that we all made it back in one piece. That's what I call a good trip.

Happy Fourth of July!

Don't you just love an excuse to build a fire? We brought out the hot dogs and jumbo marshmallows!

Fourth fare....
He was patient...but he got it.
My movie star niece, Emi. Love her.
Gabe and his bud, Sam. Sam shows us how it's done.
Gabe, Sam and Sam's little friend. (on his shoulder)
Did I mention we had jumbo marshmallows?
What's a Fourth of July celebration without fireworks? This year David (Maddie's husband) was the torch master.

I love my family...
and I love my country! Let freedom ring.
